I got out of the house today.
It was good, though I had to threaten to mace somebody at Target, but that's a story for another time.
Tomorrow I will spend time with my family and get to watch the magic that is my children getting to know the people I've known my whole life, and I will try very hard for my heart not to be heavy, to enjoy the simplicity of this holiday season. Because there are too many people who don't get the opportunity to do so. Whether from distance or time or tragedy, we should treasure the moments that we do have with those we love because you never know when it's going to be the last you see them.
Admittedly, I also just watched Love Actually while drinking wine because THREATENING MACE AT TARGET amidst other things so I'm extra touchy feely right now, but the fact remains.
All is love.
Have a happy holiday (though please don't get me started on the sociology behind it because OMG awful) and just feel the love. Let everything else go and love.
