The Long and Short of It.

As you probably know from the header above and any/all photos I post through my various other social media resources, I have short hair. And I don't mean chin-length or shoulder-length, I mean multiple variations on a pixie-short. I've had short hair for almost five years now save for both pregnancies where it was so out-of-control with the growth hormones that I grew it out (proof here and here) but on the whole, I'm pretty much a short hair kind of girl.

But it doesn't mean I'm not jealous of all your sock buns and top knots on Pinterest because, ugh, lust. I know better that I don't do anything with long hair and it actually isn't very flattering on me and I'm still in my high toddler mommy days do we all know that crap would be up in sad ponytail and only down for special occasions.

Like professional photographs.

But yesterday, while running, I realized that my internal image of what I look like while running involves a long ponytail. Which is so very far from the truth that it's kind of jarring.

And then I see things like this cute style:

and my inner Swedish princess gets all in a tizzy.

I can't imagine I'll be debuting long, flowing locks any time soon ... but I guess I can dream.

This is a sponsored post, but all blathering about my hair and lack thereof is completely mine. Also, you should watch that video because there's a giveaway at the end and I know everyone here likes free pretty things. So if you've gotten this far without clicking play, go back and do it. You'll thank me later.
